Architectural photographer Julius Shulman is best known for his many iconic photographs of Case Study House #22, the Stahl House. The house was designed by Pierre Koenig and it displayed a unique modern aesthetic in 1960 when photographed. Through his work he ushered in an appreciation for California Mid-century Modernism that spread around the world through books, exhibits, and personal appearances until 1990s where new interest began to surface again due to changing attitudes about architecture at this time.
