Building Images, a yearly exhibition of the best architectural photography worldwide. The event is now well-established from the architectural calendar, noticing the value of photography in the manner in which we experience and associate with spaces.
At the short-listing procedure, the panel was requested to analyze the photographer’s interpretation of this structure captured, investigating nuances of this picture’s perception of place, scale and atmosphere.
Divided into four classes, each one investigating different architectural attributes along with a varied technological methodology, Construction Images showcases a wide selection of photographic styles, in addition to featuring a varied group of exceptional architectural types.
Amy Croft, Curator in Sto Werkstatt mentioned: “I think architectural photography has the unmatched ability to produce works of architecture as well as their artistic interpretation available to the broader public. This motivates people to investigate architecture in a variety of contexts and types, which stimulates discussion. This year’s winning entry provided a special glimpse into a historical architectural website, a place many folks won’t occur upon. The captured image enables viewers to access to some limited region, furthering the democratisation of architecture and art”
