Israeli artist Yigal Ozeri is well-known for large-scale cinematic portraits of characteristic young women in prodigious landscapes. With tinges of all Pre-Raphaelite aesthetics, Ozeri gives a supernal and uninhibited sensibility to his portraits. His paintings express art historical foundations in romanticism, while also suggesting modern ideas of sensual femininity.
His photorealistic oil paintings carry the soul of his concerns, giving way to an enchanting power. As a result, the viewer is enforced to look to the allegorical domain between reality and dream.
