Lars Botten was born in Trondheim, Norway. Influenced by the light and space of a mid-Norwegian mountain village where he grew up, he arrived in Paris in the early 90s. He lived there for several years until he bought a farm at Rena in Norway in 2008. His work is mainly concentrated around taking pictures of people with an approach and interest in human psychology and in the way emotions transform into pictures. He has worked for a wide range of magazines. He has exhibited at Fotogalleriet in Oslo, in Tokyo curated by Howard Greenberg Galleri New York and lately at Bomullsfabrikken in Arendal. Lars has worked for clients such as Coca Cola, Mercedes, Air France, DNB, Yves Rocher, BMW, Iceland Air, La Mote, Land Rover, Royal Caribbean, Norsk Flid, Høie and Arts and Crafts.
