Technology, like many other things, should be used in balance. Ajit Johnson’s series “#This Generation” reveals what happens when we don’t. Minimalistic illustrations showing alienation, egoism and selfie culture tread on the common ground. On the other hand, some threats do warrant constant reminders: we never stopped driving drunk, so neither would we stop obsessing over Facebook after one study.
Ajit Johnson is a Ph. D. student of cancer genetics and genomics at the University of Edinburgh. During his free time, he illustrates “to spread love, hope and encouragement”. Johnson says that he’s not a technophobe, but he’s aware technology’s risks and encourages us to put down our phones when talking to people.
