Korean artist Yoo Hyun has a simple toolkit to create her striking hyperrealistic portraits of famous figures. Taking pieces of clean white paper, she uses an X-Acto knife and tongs to hand-cut and delivers a range of charming portraits of everyone from Audrey Hepburn and Michael Jackson to Frida Kahlo and Picasso. Up close, her artworks look complicated; a few steps further away and the icon reveals itself in all its glory.
As you can probably imagine, this practice requires talent, patience, and commitment – to be able to capture each character perfectly. If you want to check out more of her work, you can follow her on Instagram or like her page on Facebook.
