Photographer Spent 14 Years Capturing The World’s Most Aged Trees

Beth Moon, a San Francisco based photographer, has spent the past 14 years searching out the oldest living trees on earth. Her passion for capturing these ancient specimens on film has carried her to all corners of the earth, to some truly remote locations.

The project was recently completed with the publication of “Ancient Trees: Portraits Of Time“, which includes sixty of Beth’s duotone photos. From her artist statement:

“Standing as the earth’s largest and oldest living monuments, I believe these symbolic trees will take on a greater significance, especially at a time when our focus is directed at finding better ways to live with the environment.”

Here is a quick sneak peak of what you can find in the book. Enjoy.
