Joel Morrison is an American artist who works with stainless steel to create these amazing surrealist sculpture mixing classical representations and everyday objects.
What I love about contemporary art is that we can interpret these works of art in our own way and see what we want to see in it. One of my favorites is the disco ball (“Disco Ball Caught in Bear Trap”). I see it as a reference to the destruction of the music industry, who becoming increasingly poor, where 33 rpm and discs disappear, giving way to digital … Or maybe the abrupt end of the disco music?
