Flynn Matthews Inspired by a giant spider sculpture titled ‘Maman’ designed by Louise Bourgeois (1911 – 2010) that MB&F founder Maximilian Büsser had seen in both Geneva and Doha. Arachnophobia is the outcome of the collaboration of MB&F with L’Epée 1839 – Switzerland’s only specialized high-end clock manufacturer. Büsser created the idea with L’Epée, selecting a high-end L’Epée clock movement and re-imagining it as the mechanical head and torso of a spider.
