“Haus in Schwarz” Art Installation

schwarz05

Haus in Schwarz (in translation from German means “House in Black”) is an art installation in 2008, created by Eric Sturm and Simon Jung in the center of the Möhringen, Germany. The piece was meant as a farewell to the building which was slated for demolition. Matt black paint was supposed to symbolize the final “curtain.” But lately the house (which was not demolished) became the basis for many masterpieces of various street artists.
