Archie Hayes German sculptor Angela Glajcar designed tunnels of light made from white paper for an exhibition in Munich’s Heitsch Gallery. The paper tunnel sculptures consist of layered paper sheets, each with a gaping hole was torn in it, which together produce a tunnel-like effect. Named “Weiß ist das Neue Schwarz”, or “White is the new black”, the work is a search of the contrast between dark and light, as well as the contemporaneous fragility and strength of this often-underrated material.
