If you’re in the mood for a bit of bearsploration, check out Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco! Through May 6, they are hosting Bear With Me, an exhibition of oil paintings by Richard Ahnert. These bears are so lifelike that you’ll feel like you’re there with them! These paintings are infused with wit and metaphor and explore the mundane and deeply human moments of bears’ lives. These bears will make you smile whether they’re caught in the rain or enjoying a lazy afternoon on the water. The characters are also steeped in nostalgia, as seen in their clothing, tobacco usage, and, in the case of “Swear Bears,” a satirical take on a 1980’s cartoon.

Ahnert is an artist known for his exploration of the animal kingdom. He has a few limited-edition prints available. You can see more of his meditative works on his website and Instagram.
