The design

The shoe carries several GTA-inspired details. A money band wraps around the toe box. The design also includes the iconic SIX-STAR wanted level, which the post says returns in GTA 6 after being absent from GTA 5. Removable Swoosh logos come with the shoe, along with removable tongue patches that nod to Cactus Jack Records. A lace detail takes its inspiration from Travis Scott’s iconic grill, a signature touch that fans of Travis Scott sneakers will recognize. The style number is HF0659-900.

Fans following the GTA 6 tie-in will want to see how a giant Paris mural sparked debate after its alterations. Giant GTA 6 Mural in Paris Debate shows how the game’s visual world is already spilling into public spaces.

The upper is leather. The midsole and outsole can be traditional, translucent or gum rubber. Another description of the upper calls it canvas, inspired by Houston workwear.

The backtab can carry up to three personal characters, such as initials or a nickname, and the buyer’s name appears on the box. A 3-D builder lets buyers watch their creation take shape and try different design choices. Each pair is made one at a time, by hand.

The Air Force 1 legacy

The Air Force 1 was introduced in 1982 and redefined basketball footwear, from the hardwood to the blacktop. It was the first basketball sneaker to house Nike Air. Its status as a street icon has since overshadowed that innovation. In November 2017, the AF-100 Collection celebrated the shoe’s 35th anniversary with new takes on the white/white colorway.
