Macro Photos of Bees Courtesy of the US Geological Survey

Thanks to the United States Geological Questionnaire’s Inventory and Monitoring Laboratory Flickr, we now have access to over 1,200 beautiful macro images of and various other bugs.

Given the name, you would assume you’d only be looking at images of, however that’s not the case. In addition to the thousands of varieties of visualized, there are also images of bees, ants, blossoms, and beetles in the archive.

The Flickr is curated by USGS Patuxent Wildlife Research Center Biologist Sam Droege, who appears to be on his game, considered that one of the most recent pictures were posted 21 hrs back.
