Dancers Frozen In Flour By Alexander Yakovlev

Some of us are singing in the rain, others – dancing in flour. Alexander Yakovlev takes pictures of dancer swirling in the white stuff. Viewing ballerinas as some auto-dough dumpling, Yakovlev praises movement and grace as they are brought out by finely-ground grain.

Alexander Yakovlev is a Russian photographer out of Moscow. He’s formally graduated as a lawyer but fancies photographing ballerinas to being a book-bound snake. The flour photography is part of a series titled “The Mirages.” He also takes photos of athletes for magazines.
