California-based advertising photographer Tim Tadder, in collaboration with Paris-based retoucher Cristian Girotto, created a spectacular series of photos entitled Sculpture Athletes that shows athletes as porcelain figurines. The collaboration between the two artists was born out of Tim Tadder’s desire to create a series of photographs that recreated “some of the most classic athlete statues from antiquity.” Tadder reached out to Cristian after seeing some of his prior work, and the result of their partnership is ‘Sculpture Athletes.’
