In his “Forest of Coexistence” series, Kang Dong Hyun creates animals out of steel. His animals are majestic and powerful animals that have been fused from countless metallic branches. The animals in this woodland are aware of the interdependence between species and the notion that “all life on Earth may lead to an unseen thread.” In these sculptures, Kang considers what it means to be a human being with a conscience in today’s world. We hope you enjoy reading about how he created this series! For more of the artist’s finely articulated creatures, go to Instagram.
