Kalbornia Lake & Pool House: A Scenic Masterpiece in Polish Lakeside Retreat Design
Nestled on the picturesque shores of Lake Dabrowa Wielka in Poland, the Kalbornia Lake & Pool House stands as a testament to innovative architectural design. Crafted by Boris Kudlicka with Partners and interior genius ASID Studio, this seasonal retreat is inspired by the natural kaleidoscope of a wildflower meadow. The house boasts custom mosaics, eclectic materials, and iconic furnishings that harmonize seamlessly with its stunning location.
Artistry in the Entryway
The home’s entrance greets visitors with a vibrant geometric tiled floor, featuring terracotta, cream, brown, and muted blue squares. A bespoke wooden cabinet, complete with an eye-catching abstract art niche, brings additional flair. The sleek cabinetry is adorned with distinctive small handles.
Opposite, a mirrored wall reflects the artistry of the space. A wooden bench, accented with gray upholstered cushions, rests on a tiled base that artfully extends the floor’s motif.

Dynamic Dining in Warm Tones
Transitioning to the heart of the home, a custom-designed corner banquette offers an inviting dining area characterized by textured jacquard upholstery in warm hues and a stone-topped table. The arrangement, under a sloped ceiling, enjoys ample natural light, enhancing the earthy color scheme. This design feat serves both aesthetic appeal and functionality.

Iconic Design and Breathtaking Views
The living room showcases design classics like the caramel-colored Togo seating, paired with lakeside vistas. A white coffee table and plush rug complete the ensemble, while a Noguchi Akari lamp adds a soft, sculptural element. This is a prime example of how the interior elegance integrates with outdoor beauty.
On the opposite wall, a bespoke bookcase, dressed with Tsauri wallpaper, complements Le Corbusier and George Nelson’s timeless design pieces.
