Anyone who has packed a camp stove knows the problem. The burner and pot supports keep their cooking shape, and they take up room in the bag. Easy Cooking, a concept developed in 2023, responds with a folding camping stove that packs into one elongated, rounded case.
The closed housing has a sandy beige finish with black details and a short fabric loop at one end. Concentric slots near the opposite end echo the round burner inside. Smaller perforations cover much of the broad face. The styling stays restrained, with no heavy armor or oversized logos.
Designers Hao Kong and Qi Qiu present the folding camping stove as a rearrangement of parts rather than a new cooktop.
Packing light matters on outdoor trips beyond the stove itself. Five Essential EDC Tools for Outdoor Tailgating covers portable gear built for the same on-the-go mindset.

How the folding camping stove opens
Open the case, and the layout changes. The burner pulls away from the housing. Three serrated pot supports spread around it, creating a cooking area wider than the packed form. Folded inward, the supports lie alongside the burner again.
The fuel cartridge sits lengthwise inside the open housing. That keeps the fuel beside the burner, so no separate hose is needed. A large rotary dial takes up one side. An OPEN label marks a separate control on top.
These cues hint at where to start. The presentation, however, does not explain the ignition system or how the cartridge locks and releases.

Where it fits
The layout suits a quick outdoor meal, such as boiling a kettle without setting up a boxy tabletop camping stove. The housing does two jobs. It hides the burner during transport and holds the cartridge while the stove runs.
Whether it works well will depend on the moving parts. Grit and food residue can collect in the joints, and a sticking hinge would undo the appeal of a compact pack.
Snow Peak’s Home & Camp Burner, launched in 2019, takes a similar approach. Its burner tucks into a housing that also accommodates a butane canister during use. Easy Cooking tries a different silhouette, with a flatter, capsule-shaped body. The overlap shows that folding a stove into its own case is an established idea. The interest lies in the details.

What remains unproven
Easy Cooking has not put this folding camping stove on sale. It remains a concept. The project materials include no dimensions or weight figures, so the space saving of the design cannot be measured. Material grades are not named either.
Stability is another open question. The three folding supports would need to hold a full pot above the ground. Stirring or lifting could shift weight across the narrow frame.
Heat management deserves as much attention as the folding mechanism. Snow Peak warns that some cookware can radiate enough heat back toward a gas canister to create a hazard. That risk grows when fuel and flame share a compact body.
A stove that disappears into a case for travel still has to keep its fuel cool once a pan sits on top. That is the harder engineering problem, and the concept does not yet show how it would be solved.
Heat control is the sticking point here, and cookware design plays a part in it. Award-Winning Cookware Heats 40% Faster with Eco Innovation shows how pot construction can change cooking efficiency on a flame.
