Animated Paper Collage by Jake Fried

by Archie Hayes 2017-10-16, 8:56 PMupdated 2019-09-16, 12:16 PM

Animator Jake Fried is popularly known for his hand-drawn ink and white-out films that incorporate compact imagery and symbolism throughout a fast-changing field of view, all photographed frame by frame through almost 1,500 layers. His most recent bit, Paper Trail, introduces a collage-like feel via a lovely layering technique. You can see many more of the movies on Vimeo.
