Minimalistic Animated GIFs by Frédéric Vayssouze-Faure

French animator Frédéric Vayssouze-Faure investigates complex mathematical theories through short GIFs that he publishes on a Tumblr known as Wavegrower. Sine functions, harmonic oscillations, and fractals are all core theories behind his undulating and swarming animations.

This site is a branch of this wave grower job where I am focused on blending minimalism and multitude to produce dynamic artworks with over 1 degree of reading, the first being that each mobile constituting them has its own natural regular movement, meaning frequently looping by rotation or twisting or balancing or extending or revolving or swinging or vibration or beating or vibrating, at a note: oscillating.
Just like a lot of other artists and designers working with cartoons of this sort, Vayssouze-Faure shares the source code supporting a few of his functions to help others learn how they work. Check out more here.
