Suzanne Saroff’s Photographs of Foods Warped Through Liquid and Glass

In her continuing series titled Perspective, photographer Suzanne Saroff creates fractured and skewed pictures of ordinary foods as observed through containers full of water and glass items. The graphics play theories of light and shadow leading to distorted still lifes that appear almost like digital glitches.

"With techniques and tools like refraction, directional light, and bold colors, my photos provide everyday items alternate visual avenues of saying," shares Saroff. "Taking shape via shadows or fragmentations, my subjects frequently become more compared to the expected and singular variation of these."

Saroff was born Missoula, Montana and works and lives in New York where she shoots for an assortment of brands. You can follow along with her photography on Instagram.
