Aerial photos of everyday life reminiscent of a graphic game

Photographer Bernhard Lang creates aerial shots that capture the geometry of everyday life. Lang visited Le Havre, and this time he used Crate Stacks as the backdrop.

The project, “Crate Stacks,” shows a beverage production yard, captured in an interesting way. The artist took these photos in November 2019 from a small plane. The series shows thousands of crates sorted by color and assembled in long lines. Lang says the photos remind him of “the computer game Tetris or graphic bar diagrams.”

For a camera that is used for a wide-angle lens, he has such a large-format, elegant lens, and it was a chance to capture the authentic look of this elegant lens.
