Brazilian Photographer Gustavo Lacerda‘s series “Albinos” blends biology, aesthetics and folklore in the striking collection of light-saturated photos.
Albinism is characterized by a deficit in the production of melanin and by the partial or complete absence of pigment in the skin, hair, and eyes.
On his project about albinism, he worked for three years, finding characters with the help of friends, via social networks and on the street. According to the photographer, he wanted to give these people a chance to feel their importance.
