Faya Sanders Vans partners has teamed up with prolific Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami for the fall 2015 season of Vault by Vans. Celebrated for his vibrant paintings, as well as his immaculate sculptures and designs, Murakami makes his favorite Vans silhouette, the Classic Slip-On – which happens to be the shoe he wears in his studio every day – the focus of his next project. Available worldwide beginning June 27, Vault by Vans x Takashi Murakami takes two of the artist’s most recognizable motifs, smiling flowers and skulls, and uses them to adorn the Classic Slip-On in both colorful and more minimal lined styles. Three toddler slip-ons will also be available with either the skull or flower characters.
