Seth Sebastian Illustrator Yukai Du is originally from China but now resides in London after graduating from Central Saint Martins last year. Her illustrations, gifs, and animations have a griminess and about them and it’s clear she’s been inspired by her time in the city as London bus stops, the underground and other subtle photographs of the capital weave their way into her work. But technology and our dependence on it is also a recurring theme, with stories about mobile phones, treadmills, and the digital revolution all starring in Yukai’s daily worlds that have a surreal edge.
