There is a reason that ‘trendy cat’ is a term. This forms the primary inspiration for Peruvian paper artist Kike Congrains‘ interesting works. Using adhesive, scissors, a knife, colored paper and vintage magazines, the cat portraits are handcrafted, with each using a particular personality and fashion.
From a hefty metal-inspired tabby to your stone chick short hair, the collages are certain to make you grin.
Congrains’ previous functions comprise sea-creatures, pop ethnic characters, and antique imagery. When talking about his inspiration, he told Peru This Week magazine: “Collage is an artwork form that does not require previous experience or some other coaching in artwork in any way, everybody had completed one in a few moment of the life when they did not understand they were creating a collage.”
