At NeoCon 2026, three furniture and design makers bet that people engage more with objects they can touch, lean on and move. Division Twelve, Turf and Three H each used texture, sound or weight to make a room feel personal.
Division Twelve’s Pohm lounge chair
Division Twelve is known for bent tubular steel furniture in bold colours. At NeoCon 2026 it launched its first soft-seating piece, the Pohm lounge chair. The name plays on pomme, the French word for apple.
Nicole Marion of Winnipeg-based Studio Marion designed the chair to feel warm, familiar and inviting. It pairs a bent-metal frame with two plush cushions.
The detail that stands out is a wooden sphere at the end of the armrest. The brand calls this a “palm rest,” a natural point of contact that it presents as a grounding moment for the sitter.
Materials can carry a lot of the tactile story, and a double-walled metal vessel shows how much a surface can matter. Service Projects’ double-walled stainless steel cup design is worth a click for its hands-on finish.
Pohm comes in the brand’s 20 standard powder-coated colours. Customers can also choose from more than 200 RAL colours.

Turf’s nostalgic showroom
Acoustics brand Turf used early 1990s and 2000s nostalgia to frame an optimistic view of the future for its experimental showroom revamp. Elizabeth Von Lehe, principal senior designer at CannonDesign, led the project.
She called the concept “NeoRetroFutureOptimism.” The route split into two pathways. One was quiet and moody, the other bright and energetic.
Visitors could rest in a dimly lit lounge, examine curated prototypes, or test acoustic frequencies in the Control Room. Sound attenuation, the reduction of noise by a surface, became something visitors could hear for themselves.
The Control Room looks like a retrofuturistic audio command centre. Its wall panels carry specialised technology, and colour-blocked lighting lets designers see how the treatments perform in a real setting.

Three H’s Aster collection
Designer Thom Fougere developed the Aster collection for Three H. The goal was to add comfort and utility to workspaces and to give often-overlooked corners a clear purpose.
The collection takes its name from the resilient aster flower. It includes a coat rack, a serving cart, an office butler and a portable landscape, which is a large circular planter on casters that does not appear in the photograph.
The pieces use sandblasted aluminium. With regular handling, the surface develops a patina over time, so each object ages with its owner.
Aluminium is also proving its worth in furniture that feels light and considered. LA studio’s sleek aluminium Shaker furniture applies the same idea to a classic form, making it a useful companion read.
The lightweight construction makes each piece easy to carry to wherever it is needed. That mobility is the point. Aster adds character to a room without locking it into a fixed layout.
