‘VitraHaus’ is a five-story built building located in Weil am Rhein, was designed by Basel-based architects Herzog & de Meuron, was built to showcase Vitra’s home collection. At first sight, the building looks like a disorganized pile of houses, but in reality, it consists of 12 ‘houses’ stacked upon each other. An intriguing aspect of the house is how the staircases are integrated into the structure that the architects call eating “their way through the various levels of the building like a worm”.
