Elena Vizerskaya is a young Ukrainian artist creating something that she expects will induce viewers to sense, instead of believing.
In this surreal world of her own creation, naked ladies dance with tigers, jellyfishes lean in to get a kiss, and crops take on a life of their own. Anything is possible as soon as the principles of reality don’t apply.
“It’s is a special area that looks rather like a fantasy full of reflections and allusions,” Vizerskaya says of this planet she’s born. “Space where lots of things meant to be felt, not understood, where you return again and again. “
