Artist Bas Uterwijk recreates iconic historic figures into a real-life version

Dutch photographer and digital artist Bas Uterwijk uses various digital manipulation tools, such as CGI, 3D animation, and special effects, to create photorealistic portraits of famous iconic figures from history. Uterwijk chooses well-known characters and then transforms them into photographic portraits. The artist chose even some of the most famous sculptures, like David by Michelangelo and the Statue of Liberty, shown in characteristic blue tones reminiscent of her real-life patina.
