Hemmed in by high-rise towers to the north and dense infrastructure—including a 110kV substation and a waste transfer station to the south—SoBA boldly opted to craft a sanctuary that embraces rather than melds into its surroundings. Their design rejects negotiations with the city’s gritty context, favoring instead an inward-facing campus that buffers its young inhabitants from the harsh urban landscape.
