Kelsey Emblow Yorkshire based artist Kelsey Emblow created dreamy big cat illustrations with a nostalgic quality, as if from a long lost dream. The cats are drawn in thousands of tiny dots with a soft abstract background and foreground appearing like colorful clouds.
The collection comprises of a Lion, Tiger, Black panther, and an Amur Leopard. The Amur leopard is the most endangered with only 100 left in the wild.
The inspiration behind the illustrations was a growing fear that they will one day be extinct, which gave her the idea to create them in a dreamy way. One day they may become merely a dream.
Each piece took between 20 to 40 hours to complete depending on the complexity and was drawn on artist panels.
