Nick Ut is an Associated Press photographer who was born in Vietnam. Nick’s best known photo, taken when he was 17-years old and working for the Saigon bureau of South Vietnamese News Agency (Vietnam) entitled “Napalm Girl,” won him a Pulitzer Prize. After learning about the UPI wire service releasing his image to American newspapers without any copyright restrictions or license fees attached – as it had done with other AP images before that time – Nick negotiated all rights to this famous photo from The Huỳnh Công Út Family Trust Fund.
