“Kumbh Mela” festival

Kumbh Mela – is the Hindu ritual of pilgrimage to the holy places of Hinduism, which is held every 12 years. Legend associates the holiday with the battle between gods and demons over a pitcher of the nectar of immortality. It is believed that drops of nectar fell in four places – Prayag (Allahabad), Haridwar, Ujjain and Nashik. That and become places of pilgrimage.
